2011 marks the fifth year anniversary of the Alliance. It's amazing to see how much we've grown in these five years by welcoming new Core Members, Partner Institutions, and Associate Members, expanding our programs and services, and being recognized as a national model of collaboration by The Lodestar Foundation!
Looking towards 2012 and beyond, we know that there is still much to do, and your participation is crucial to our continued success. We hope you will join us in celebrating this milestone anniversary by making a special donation to the Alliance's end-of-the-year appeal, Celebrating Five Years! Your gifts make a concrete difference in how the Alliance brings cross-cultural programming to Chicago. The Alliance is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and your donations are deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Thank you in advance for your help increasing access to Chicago's diverse ethnic institutions and enriching public dialogue through first voice perspectives. We look forward to seeing you in 2012!
Rebeccah Sanders, Executive Director of the Alliance, has been selected as one of the emerging leaders for the 2012 Chicago Community Trust Fellowship!
The Trust Fellowship program, now in its third year, offers professional development opportunities for emerging and experienced leaders in the nonprofit and public sectors.
Next year Rebeccah will be visiting museums and civic organizations around the United States and in South Africa to better understand how they engage with their communities to address community concerns and build understanding across communities. She will also develop advocacy strategies for the Alliance by working closely with the staff and leadership of several organizations, including Arts Alliance Illinois.
