One of the most important pieces of collections management is the storage of objects that are not in use or on display. This workshop will explore the best ways to store two-dimensional objects such as historical documents, newspapers, and photographs. Participants will learn basic strategies that they can immediately use with their collections and incorporate into their long-term strategy of collections management.
There is limit of 16 participants. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the workshop.
Public parking is located one block north of the Museum at Clark and LaSalle Streets; enter on Stockton Drive. Parking can be validated at the Museum. |

Join the Swedish American Museum at Andersonville’s St. Lucia celebration. Celebrations begin with a procession starting at 4:45 p.m. from the Museum, followed by a return to the Museum for refreshments at 5:00 pm.
At 7 p.m., the celebration continues at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 1650 W. Foster Ave., Chicago, with holiday songs, readings, and a Lucia procession. |
