DESCRIPTION:BOMBA is the oldest musical tradition of Puerto Rico and one of the greatest expressions of the Island’s African ancestry.\n\n\nSince its establishment in Chicago in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s\, enthusiasts\, practitioners and teachers of Bomba had come through SRBCC to develop\, share and cultivate their craft and honor this ancestral art form from Puerto Rico.\n\n\nCreated in and for the community SRBCC offers BOMBA LAB en el Centro\, an intergenerational space to learn\, practice and engage with the history and ever-lasting healing rhythms\, dance and songs of Bomba.\n\n\nTo enjoy en familia! ALL ages and experiences are welcomed.\nFree of cost. No registration needed.
