We invite you to JOIN US\, ENJOY AND HAVE FUN. Everyone is welcome\, FREE Admission. \nPHILIPPINE FEST (PIYESTA PINOY)\nSaturday\, June 8\, 2024 \n11:00 AM to 7:00 PM CDT \nThe Roger C. Claar Performing Arts Center \n375 W Briarcliff Rd\, Bolingbrook\, IL \n  \nWe are very happy to announce that Piyesta Pinoy will be back in the Village of Bolingbrook. This will be the 11th year of the biggest Filipino American festival of culture\, music\, arts\, games\, and food in the Midwest. There will be at least 10 food vendors that will be serving Filipino food and drinks starting at 11am. Visit \nour sponsors\, non-food vendors and partner organizations under the tents located all around the park. Just like in the past\, there will be a parade of costumes starting at 3pm this year. Music and dance performances will be at the beautiful Roger C. Claar performing arts center stage. We are announcing this year’s celebrity performers: 18-year old Twins Justin & Jeremy Garcia from California\, fresh from their performance at this year’s THE VOICE and. Marc Tupaz\, a former vocalist for the Filipino alternative/pop rock band Shamrock.

The film draws on Chernov’s daily news dispatches and personal footage of his own country at war. DESCRIPTION:Date:  August 17 \nTime: \n9:00 pm – 11:00 pm \nLocation:  \n4626 N Knox Ave. Chicago\, IL 60630 \nWe are thrilled to welcome Tommy Prine for a FREE SHOW in the Fifth Province Pub! Tommy Prine’s debut album\, This Far South\, is not only a long-awaited introduction but also a testimony to Prine’s 20s and the loss\, love\, and growth that have defined them. Co-produced by a close friend and kindred musical spirit\, Ruston Kelly\, and beloved Nashville engineer and producer Gena Johnson\, the album is rich and dynamic\, from cathartic jams to nostalgic storytelling. The son of late songwriting legend John Prine\, Tommy Prine grew up in Nashville surrounded by music\, art\, and writing. As a child\, he thought all parents were musicians because\, to his father\, “going to work” meant performing shows for adoring fans and writing songs. Tommy learned to play guitar by watching his father play\, copying how his fingers moved\, and inadvertently developing his own style. Summers in Ireland lent their own inspiration\, as did 10 straight years camping at Bonnaroo. In 2023\, Amazon Music named him one of their Breakthrough Artists to Watch\, and in December\, he made his Grand Ole Opry debut in December. \nThis is a free show. The Pub opens at 6PM\, and Tommy plays\, starting at 9PM
