DESCRIPTION:A pair of stadium proposals from the Bears and White Sox have ushered in supersized dreams for Chicago’s Museum Campus and The 78 megadevelopment site. Are these plans pointing the city toward wins\, losses or draws? Get a fresh take from our panel of designers. \nWhether you are a fan of professional sports or not\, we can all agree it’s big business. The sheer scale of these stadium proposals present opportunities to revisit past urban planning efforts\, to analyze major infrastructure needs and to forge new visions for our city. \nOur panel brings extensive out-of-town experience to the myriad issues concerning stadium design and sports district planning. Learn about the approaches that have fueled successful stadium rebuilds in other U.S. cities and current design trends that are foregrounding sound urban design and connectivity.
