Free
Join Historian Dr. Cranston Knight for his monthly lecture via Zoom presented by HAMOC

About this event

Haiti became the first free Black country in 1804. But their resiliency and desire to free all from slavery did not stop there. Simón Bolívar, born in Venezuela, became to be one of the greatest liberators of his time. And with the help of Haiti and Alexandre Pétion was able to free many others throughout Latin America.

Join us in learning about the relationship between Bolívar and Pétion and how Haiti became a model for independence.

This is a FREE EVENT with a $10 suggested donation to the museum.
