Korean Cultural Center of Chicago Student Art Contest
May 7 @ 11:00 am - May 26 @ 5:00 pm
The 3rd Korean Cultural Center of Chicago’s Student Art Contest will be collecting artwork on May 7th and May 8th. 2D work in any genre with the theme of “Exploring K-Culture” can be submitted, and all students in greater Chicago area and suburbs are encouraged to participate.
The student art contest which was temporarily suspended since 2015 has been revived to promote Korean culture to the next generation. To encourage more students to participate, it has been widely opened to any students that are interested, where in the past it was mainly open to Korean students. In view of the recent increase in the status of Korean culture, the theme of the work is “Exploring K-Culture”, and students interested in Korean culture are expected to fully unleash their hidden talents at this opportunity.
The competition is divided into 4 sections; elementary school grades (K – 2nd), elementary school grades (3rd-5th), middle school (6th – 8th), and high school (9th – 12th). Each section will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and 1 overall grand prize winner. In addition, special prizes and other winning prizes will be awarded.
