DESCRIPTION:Fri\, Aug 30\, 2024\, FAHSC is partnering with Chicago Filmmakers to present 16mm films by Nicholas Viernes (1902-1991)\, whose work documents Filipino American life within the Greater Chicago area from the early to mid-20th century. Our collections manager and archivist Ashley Dequilla will also briefly present on the historical context of these films and her experiences as an archivist in restoring them.
