SUMMARY:In The Realm Of Senses Presents: Fundraiser for Ukraine
DESCRIPTION:An immersive fund raiser concert featuring music\, visual arts\, perfumery\, and gastronomy to help Ukraine in its time of need.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nIn The Realm Of Senses presents its fully immersive duo version of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition for two players and seven instruments with works by Ukrainian born composers Skoryk\, Yashchenko\, Bortkiewicz and Prokofiev\, presented by Chinese-American\, Russian-American and Belarusian-Americans who support Ukraine’s fight for freedom and peace. This concert will feature visual projections paired to music by many Chicago-based international artists as well as two perfume pairings to music by Christophe Laudamiel\, and dessert pairings by local chefs. We will perform various works by Ukrainian-born composers including first movement of Prokofiev’s violin sonata No.1 and end with the “Great Gate of Kiev” movement from Pictures\, paired to a unique perfume. Music and art transcends all and will bring people of all backgrounds together to support Ukraine in its great time of need. \nOur co-sponsors are Epiphany Center for the Arts and Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art\, who will be donating the venue for this event and helping us bring the word to the Ukrainian and Chicago communities at large. All proceeds will go towards vetted charities to directly support Ukraine.
