Co-produced by a close friend and kindred musical spirit\, Ruston Kelly\, and beloved Nashville engineer and producer Gena Johnson\, the album is rich and dynamic\, from cathartic jams to nostalgic storytelling. The son of late songwriting legend John Prine\, Tommy Prine grew up in Nashville surrounded by music\, art\, and writing. As a child\, he thought all parents were musicians because\, to his father\, “going to work” meant performing shows for adoring fans and writing songs. Tommy learned to play guitar by watching his father play\, copying how his fingers moved\, and inadvertently developing his own style. Summers in Ireland lent their own inspiration\, as did 10 straight years camping at Bonnaroo. In 2023\, Amazon Music named him one of their Breakthrough Artists to Watch\, and in December\, he made his Grand Ole Opry debut in December. \nThis is a free show. The Pub opens at 6PM\, and Tommy plays\, starting at 9PM

DESCRIPTION:Join IAHC historian Theresa Choske for a program about Belfast artist Paul Henry\, as part of our “Saturday in the Library with Theresa” series. Trained in Belfast and Paris\, Henry is best know for his sketches of the people\, scenes and landscapes of western Ireland. “Launching the Currach\,” “Lakeside Cottages\,” and “The Watcher” are some of his familiar paintings.\nThe presentation will be in the Library at the Irish American Heritage Center from 3:00pm to 5:00pm\, Saturday November 7th. There is a $5 suggested donation at the door.
