heritage museum of asian art
February 17th, 2026
Chicago Cultural Alliance’s February Archives Crawl took members on a Lunar New Year journey to the Heritage Museum of Asian Art. CCA members had the opportunity to learn more about the Museum’s beginnings in 2014 as a small storefront on 23rd Street in Chicago – to today, where it holds the distinguished recognition as the only museum in the Midwest (and one of only three in the United States) that is exclusively dedicated to exhibiting Asian art.
In addition to the museum’s vast art collection, HMAA launched their Educational and Community Engagement Initiative in 2023, which offers field trips, free neighborhood nights, hands-on workshops, and special events. CCA would like to share our gratitude to the Heritage Museum of Asian Art for hosting this amazing event and for sharing their work and knowledge with other members of the Alliance.
