Join us for a discussion where Ernest Wong, FASLA, founding principal of site design group, ltd., will reflect on nearly four decades of landscape architecture in Chicago and beyond in conversation with CAC President & CEO Eleanor Gorski.

In this Architect Talk, Wong will explore how site design group, ltd. has made its name sculpting singular, community-oriented spaces across Chicago, with work extending to other U.S. and Asian cities. He will speak to the crucial role landscape architecture and urban design play in mitigating climate change while revisiting projects that have come to define his career and a shared sense of place. These include but are not limited to: Ping Tom Memorial Park; Riverwalk East; Henry Palmisano Park; 31st Street Harbor; Altgeld Gardens redevelopment; Pullman National Historical Park and more.

Wong will also discuss major works currently in progress, including the Obama Presidential Center campus landscape (in collaboration with Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates) and the 1901 Project at the United Center.
