Piano Concert with Mr Raul Sunico

n celebration of Filipino American History Month and the 80th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and the United States, the Filipino American Historical Society of Chicago (FAHSC), the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, and the Chicago Public Library, will present a special piano concert featuring internationally acclaimed Filipino pianist Dr. Raul M. Sunico on 30 September 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Winter Garden of the Harold Washington Library Center in Chicago.

Dr. Sunico is one of the Philippines’ most distinguished concert pianists and music educators. A former President of the Cultural Center of the Philippines and former Dean of the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, he has performed extensively in the Philippines and abroad and has been recognized for his significant contributions to Philippine music and culture.

This special concert aims to showcase the richness of Filipino musical artistry to the wider Chicago community while celebrating the enduring friendship and cultural ties between the Philippines and the United States.
