Reimagining South Asian Womanhood: A Review of The Paglees: Between Reason and Madness

April 27 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The SAI team would like to thank Mrittika Ghosh who writes for Sixty Inches from Center, for her excellent review of our current exhibition of works by a collective of artists who, to quote Ghosh “reclaim a derogatory epithet as a source of power….Named for reclaiming the space of madness, The Paglees imagine a selfhood outside patriarchal bounds of what is ‘reasonable’,”

The Paglees is an exhibition that should not be missed. It redefines the idea of eccentricity and juxtaposes the lives of several women who have been affected by the labels that patriarchy uses for them.
