T. G. Masaryk Czech School is a community school in Cicero, Illinois. Though heritage language education for Czech children living in the Chicagoland area is central to the TGM’s work, the community school has expanded way beyond what we typically think of as weekend language school. It provides language classes for adult students as well as organizes cultural projects for both children and adults (exhibitions, concerts, literary workshops). Since 2012 the school has been coordinating the Annual Czech Schools in North America Conference. It runs its own Czech Library Chicago (czechlibrarychicago.org). Recently it has became the umbrella organization for the Czechoslovak Heritage Museum.
