For the first time in Chicago, Sidi Wacho will put on a performance you can’t miss! The group hails from Chile, France, and Algeria, but claim to be from all over the world. Sidi Wacho has produced four acclaimed albums and have toured the world with their Cumbia, Hip-Hop, Balkan fusion in the vein of Manu Chao, Chico Trujillo, and Sargent Garcia.

“Viva Colombia” – Colombian Independence Day Concert

In collaboration with El Gran Festival Colombiano, we are excited to present “Viva Colombia” – Colombian Independence Day Concert as part of the Chicago Latino Music Series.
Headlined by Ceferina Banquez, one of the most celebrated and recognized voices of Afro-Colombian music, the evening features the beautiful music of the plains of Colombia and Venezuela with local superstars Arpa Cafe. This five-piece band led by Colombian harpist Daniel Rojas features traditional acoustic instrumentation with a special surprise guest.
Doors open at 7:00pm; show starts at 7:30pm.

Film in the Park / Cine en el Parque

Film in the Park / Cine en el Parque

Enjoy summertime Chi with our annual Film in the Park/Cine en el Parque! In partnership with the Chicago Park District, the series runs family-friendly films projected on large screens in various citywide parks for FREE. The goal is to bring Latino films to various communities in Chicago to showcase diverse storytelling and talent. All films are shown in their original language with English subtitles.
Screenings take place every Wednesday from July 6th – August 3rd, and begin at dusk approximately 8:30PM. Arrive early for a good spot!
